Aside from the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere on Sept. 22 and the increase of pumpkin-flavored treats, September offers some celestial sights to enjoy.
Just before sunrise on Sept. 19, you can catch a glimpse of a celestial trio. In the eastern skies, you will find the Moon cozied up to Venus and Regulus, one of the brightest stars in the sky.
A few days later on Sept. 21, Earth will position itself directly between Saturn and the Sun, meaning that Saturn will be at its closest and brightest all year. If you want to see its rings, all you will need is a small telescope.

Amazon embedded innovation into its culture by making it harder to say no than to say yes. If someone pitched an idea to their manager, the default was to greenlight it. To reject the idea, the manager had to write a detailed two-page public explanation. That created resistance to rejection and opened the door for experimentation.
One of the biggest wins from this mindset? AWS. It wasn’t a planned initiative, just a persistent idea that wouldn’t go away. Amazon let it run, and it became a multi-billion-dollar business. Sometimes, all it takes is creating a system where saying yes is easier than shutting something down.

Sam Altman believes the early years of your career carry the most leverage. These are the years where every hour of effort, every skill gained, and every connection made compounds over time.
If you commit to working hard, improving a little each day, staying curious, and surrounding yourself with the right people, those small wins start stacking up.
The earlier you start, the longer you benefit. Grind in your twenties, and the rewards can echo through the rest of your life.

JL Collins has a simple rule about money: never tell people how much you have. If they have more, they won’t care. If they have less, they might envy you or judge you. Either way, there’s nothing good that comes out of sharing the number.
His approach to wealth is grounded in peace of mind, not flash. When someone asked him “how much is enough?” he gave the most honest answer possible—enough.
Not more to impress. Not less to struggle. Just enough to live life on your own terms.

California gas is set to reach $8 per gallon due to the closure of two major refineries, causing supply to stagnate and demand to remain constant. This artificial scarcity will make filling up your tank more expensive than most people's daily wages, making driving a luxury and commuting more expensive than staying home.

Being the smartest in the room doesn’t guarantee success. Charlie Munger understood this better than anyone.
He knew that building wealth isn’t just about IQ. It’s about starting early, working relentlessly, and most importantly, playing the right game.
That’s exactly what Warren Buffett did. He didn’t chase trends. He mastered value investing the way Einstein mastered physics—with focus, discipline, and patience.
Together, Munger and Buffett showed that long-term thinking beats raw intelligence every time.
