Trusting God with your business isn’t passive.
It’s an active decision to stop doing things that are rooted in fear and start doing things that are rooted in faith.
These 6 shifts changed everything for me. Not just my income… my peace, my joy, and my sense of purpose:
👉 1. I stopped comparing.
It’s hard not to compare when you’re so involved in social media. But I try to put in my head that the assignment God gave me is mine. What everyone else is doing is none of my business.
👉 2. I stopped saying yes to everything.
Not every collab. Not every trend. Not every “opportunity.” If it doesn’t align with my purpose, it’s a no. And I don’t feel bad about it anymore.
👉 3. I stopped chasing trends.
I used to stress about what was “hot.” Now I ask one question: “God, what do YOU want me to share today?” That’s it.
👉 4. I stopped ignoring rest.
I used to wear burnout like a badge of honor. Now I understand, rest is not lazy. Rest is obedience. God didn’t design me to run on empty. My best content, my best ideas, my best launches all came AFTER I rested.
👉 5. I stopped hiding my faith to make people comfortable.
Some unfollowed. Some judged. But the right people? They stayed. They bought. They sent me messages saying “I needed to hear this today.” I’d rather lose followers than lose myself.
👉 6. I stopped defining success by numbers.
Followers don’t pay your bills. Likes don’t change your life. Impact does. I went from being a nanny taking 8 buses to work to becoming the first millionaire in my family at 32… and the number I care about most isn’t in my bank account. It’s the number of lives changed.
It’s not easy, like I said. It’s an active decision. 🥹
If you’re building a business and you want God to be at the center of it, this one is for you.
